NabCrew Zero AirBlue 1240 - Moen Marin

High-speed vessels

NabCrew Zero AirBlue 1240

Fully electric, high-speed personnel transport vessel with AirHull technology

  • 20-25 knots service speed
  • Range up to 40 nm in service speed
  • 8-12 passengers
  • Up to 50% lower energy consumption compared to a conventional hull
  • Significantly lower operating costs, savings of up to 600.000-800.000 NOK per year

The vessel’s production is part of a collaborative effort aimed at meeting the demand for zero-emission and energy-efficient service and aquaculture vessels. There is a strong focus on developing more sustainable solutions within the industry, without compromising other qualities such as range and speed.

The vessel is built using Pascal’s AirHull technology—a hull design that lifts the boat partially out of the water by creating an air pocket between the hull and the sea. This reduces energy consumption and enables both higher speeds and longer range.

This technology has the potential to reduce the energy consumption of planing vessels by up to 50 percent compared to traditional hulls. It also maintains comfort levels, utilizing systems that ensure smooth and efficient movement through the water.

The vessel will have a service speed of 20–25 knots and a range of up to 40 nautical miles—leading specifications for fully electric vessels.
